Se hizo oficial: Laurent Blanc es el nuevo entrenador de Francia

El técnico Laurent Blanc fue nombrado hoy oficialmente nuevo seleccionador nacional por la Federación Francesa de Fútbol (FFF), en sustitución de Raymond Domenech, blanco de todas las críticas por el fiasco de su equipo en el Mundial de Sudáfrica.

 

 

El nombre de Blanc para este puesto, confirmado en una reunión del consejo federal de la FFF, ya se conocía incluso antes del inicio del Mundial.

 

 

El ex jugador del Barcelona, Manchester United e Inter de Milán, entre otros, tendrá como ayudante al frente de los "bleus" a Jean-Louis Gasset, su adjunto en el Girondins de Burdeos, el único club que ha entrenado y con el que consiguió la liga francesa en la temporada 2008-09.

 

 

El ya ex presidente de la FFF, Jean-Pierre Escalettes -que hoy dimitió oficialmente de su cargo-, se encargó de anunciar el nombramiento de Blanc, del que avanzó que "tendrá un proyecto deportivo extremadamente combativo, con el objetivo de conseguir la victoria para volver a encarrilar deportiva y moralmente a la selección francesa".

 

 

Blanc, de 44 años y 97 veces internacional por su país como jugador, se enfrenta al reto de reconstruir un equipo en ruinas tras el triste papel desarrollado por Francia en Sudáfrica, donde fue eliminada en primera ronda, sin conseguir ni una sola victoria, y donde protagonizó un escándalo mayúsculo, con insultos, exclusiones y hasta motines.

 

 

Esta situación costó el puesto a Escalettes, que hoy reconoció que deja su cargo con "vergüenza" por haber dado esta imagen de Francia al mundo.

También dijo sentirse "responsable" por la situación y no una víctima.                   

 

Aunque Escalettes haya recibido muchas críticas por el papel de la selección en Sudáfrica, la palma se la ha llevado Domenech, que en cualquier caso es el entrenador que más partidos ha dirigido desde el banquillo a los "bleus".
