La Federación Inglesa de Fútbol investigará la denuncia que el defensor del Manchester United, Patrice Evra, realizó sobre presuntos insultos racistas del delantero del Liverpool, el uruguayo Luis Suárez, en el empate de sus equipos por la Liga Premier por 1-1.

“El árbitro Andre Marriner fue informado de una denuncia al final del partido y reportó el hecho a la federación inglesa, ahora comenzará a hacer averiguaciones sobre el asunto”, indica el comunicado de la Federación de Inglaterra.

El lateral francés del Manchester United, Patrice Evra dijo a un canal de televisión de su país: “Había cámaras de televisión. Pudieron verlo diciéndome esa palabra al menos diez veces. No voy a repetir lo que dijo. Pero no hay lugar para esto en el 2011”.

Sin embargo, personas allegadas al delantero uruguayo, indicaron que Suárez negó la acusación.
