El Liverpool jugará por primera vez en China el próximo mes de julio, un encuentro contra el Guangdong Sunray Cave en la ciudad de Guanzhou, en el marco de una gira asiática que también incluye a Malasia, indicaron los responsables del club de la Premier League.

"Nuestro club y nuestra ciudad tienen muchas relaciones con China. La ciudad de Liverpool tiene la comunidad china más antigua de Europa. Somos un club global y es importante que demos la oportunidad a nuestros seguidores en China de ver al equipo en acción", dijo Ian Ayre, director ejecutivo de los ´Reds´.

Tras el partido en China, el 13 de julio, el Liverpool seguirá su gira en Malasia, con un encuentro en Kuala Lumpur tres días después.

El Arsenal, el Chelsea, el Blackburn y el Aston Villa también visitarán Asia en julio mientras que el Real Madrid disputará dos partidos en China en el mes de agosto.
