Tras el incidente en el que el delantero galo, Nicolas Anelka, habría insultado a su entrenador Raymond Domenech en el descanso del partido entre México y Francia, la Federación Francesa decidió expulsar al jugador de la concentración del seleccionado 'blue'.

Así lo confirmó el vicepresidente de la Federación francesa de fútbol (FFF), Navidad Graët, confirmando los rumores del entredicho entre el 'Puma' y el DT.

Francia concentró a la hora prevista por el técnico y no se vió a Anelka en la concentración, al suceder esto la FFF confirmó la noticia sobre que el delantero del Chelsea inglés había sido separado.

Según publica L'Equipe, Domenech y Anelka habrían tenido una reunión junto a Evra, capitán del equipo, para tratar de solucionar la situación, pero también se informó que a esta reunión la siguió una comisión de disciplina de la Federación francesa y fue esta última la que ordenó la salida del jugador.
